This is an old entry in a series of post about converting Google Maps directions to GPX. Original post, Update #1, Update #2, Update #3, Update #4, Update #5, Update #6.
I've applied a major update to the Google Maps to GPX tool. Changes include:
Track Points (trkpts) now have significantly more accurate output for all travel modes. Paths will follow sidewalks or roads exactly. The generated data should correspond exactly to what you see in Google Maps. Thanks to Marek for his work on testing this feature.
The user interface has been simplified and made easier to use by novice users.
The tool now relies extensively on the Google Directions, Elevation and Roads API for its features.
